Hair Products: The Good Bad and Ugly

Admittedly, with vanity and our natural desire to look and feel good, the use of hair products is almost always a part of our daily regimen. For this reason, it is essential to be able to know how such products are utilized, what advantages can be reaped and what are some pointers to always consider. Conversely, it is also important to be able to decipher the ones which can bring harm for you and your family and to be able to know the health risks associated in the use of the said products.

The Good

As expected, we all want our hair, our crowning glory to be at its best form as it is the first ones people see when we interact. Needless to say, hair products pertain to different accessories, shampoos, conditioners, solutions, styling aids and kits geared at making our hair the silkiest and the fullest that we can imagine.

With proper use of the products and taking into consideration the reputable ones that have undergone professional scrutiny, one is assured of enjoying hair that resists and prevents breaking, splitting and frizziness. In addition, one is also assured of a treatment and a definite cure for a host of problems ranging from dandruff, flaking, an itchy scalp and even a condition called psoriasis.

The benefits do not stop there as other problems like hair loss and thinning can be alleviated using the appropriate hair products. Even if you believe that your hair is already fine; you will have to soon realize that you need to maintain its beauty and to even complement it using curling tools, diffusers, flat irons, hair crimpers and shrimpers.

The Bad

You would not want to end up telling yourself that your hair is a complete disaster. Be wary of several products out in the market that have not been recognized by governing agencies. Be critical in your choice as you do not want to end up being a victim of horrific stories. Even if hair can grow 0.5 inches per month, it will actually be very difficult to repair something that has been significantly damaged.

The Ugly

More than the physical damage, patronizing products that are not manufactured by highly regarded firms may mean the possibility of suffering from health risks such as allergies, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia, breast cancer and Hodgkin’s disease.

Thinking about what you’ve done lately? No worries! With the right and suitable hair products, you’ll have that shiny and healthy hair that you’ve always dreamed of without being too giddy about adverse reactions.
